Visit the Space

Hi there. I’m Brandon, the founder and the person you’ll usually meet when you visit The Strangers Project. This is a free public space where you can wander through thousands of real, handwritten stories from strangers. You can take as much time as you’d like reading, and if you’re inspired, you’re welcome to sit down with a pen and paper to share your own.

Right now, my main exhibit lives at the World Trade Center Oculus in New York City. Most weeks, you’ll find me there in person, greeting visitors and collecting new stories. It’s become the heart of the project — a place where people from around the world slow down for a few minutes, connect, and leave a piece of themselves behind.

While the Oculus is my current flagship location, I also bring The Strangers Project to other cities for special events, collaborations, and hosted activations. These might be festivals, public parks, cafes, museum pop-ups, university visits, or private installations. Interested in collaborating on bringing a Strangers Project Story Space to your event? The Strangers Project at WTC Oculus

Come visit the current main exhibit at the World Trade Center Oculus. I'm currently open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2pm-6:30pm. Visitors are able to explore hundreds of stories from the archive, learn about the history of the project, and even share their own story to be added to the collection. This space is for you.
