I need your help to keep the Strangers Project going! If you can help with as little as $1 over at patreon, I can continue the daily updates as I collect and share stories from thousands of strangers.
If you enjoy the Strangers Project regularly, I appreciate the support!
I tried to collect today but the wind cut it short. I decided to pack up after a few clip boards went flying through the park. I only got a handful of stories in the few minutes I was out, but here’s one of them. This woman told me she was heading home tomorrow for her brother’s funeral and then she began to write.Transcribed:
You start to believe after a certain amount of time that you are immortal and your time in your human body is endless. That is far from the truth and when you lose someone or your health begins to fail, all of your time shrinks and you begin to panic. Do not panic! Breathe and focus on what you would like out of your time here on earth. The world is too good and big for you to sit down and panic about things or situations out of your control. Find ways to tell everyone you meet how much you like their company or qualities. Find ways to fight negative thinking because that is a daily struggle for most people. Usually the ones with the most difficult lives hide their pain the easiest. My point is, instead of worrying or over compensating for loss of time, make time! Make time to spend with people you care about. Listen to what they go through and maybe just maybe both of you will be able to help one another. Waste all the time on earth as best possible. Take action. Love one another, because one day you will lose someone and you will wish you took the time. My brother hung himself the other day and honestly as heartbroken as I am, I am also content because I took the TIME on Earth and spent it laughing with him before he died.
